Salone del Mobile.Milano is the world's leading furniture and design trade fair, held each April at Fiera Milano in Rho. The 64th edition runs 21-26 April 2026. Organised by Federlegno Eventi (part of FederlegnoArredo), the fair fills more than 169,000 sqm of net exhibition space with around 1,900 exhibitors, over a third from outside Italy, and draws roughly 370,000 attendees. The biennial specialist shows EuroCucina (kitchens) with FTK and the International Bathroom Exhibition run alongside it, and the Salone Satellite showcase gives young designers a dedicated hall.
Salone sets the highest stand-design bar in the European calendar. This is a design fair judged by designers, so booths are architectural statements: bespoke joinery, controlled lighting, gallery-grade finishes and considered material palettes are the norm rather than the exception. Exhibitors are effectively presenting a brand-world, not a product rack, which places a premium on builders who can execute fine cabinetry, seamless surfaces and precise lighting to a furniture-industry standard of finish.
The Rho fairground is vast, and Salone occupies many pavilions organised by design register, from classic to design to international. Hall placement and the walk-through logic of a stand matter enormously to how buyers experience a collection. Because build quality is the whole point at Salone, and Fiera Milano's build windows and approved-contractor rules are strict, exhibitors lock stand design, materials and hall position many months ahead; premium fabrication slots in Milan sell out early in the season.
For companies exhibiting at Salone del Mobile, a builder with Milan and Fiera Milano experience is a genuine advantage. Beyond venue logistics and load-in, the practical edge is access to the local network of specialist joiners, finishers and lighting technicians that a furniture-grade stand demands during Milan Design Week, the busiest week in the city's calendar.
