Hungexpo Budapest Congress and Exhibition Centre is the largest exhibition and convention venue in Hungary, set within 36 hectares of landscaped grounds in Budapest. Following a revitalisation completed in 2021, it offers around 75,000 sqm of event space across seven multifunctional halls plus a new Congress Centre, and hosts Hungary's major trade fairs and international congresses.
The venue
The seven halls range from around 5,000 to 20,000 sqm, and the three-level Congress Centre (Hall C) offers 15,000 sqm including a 2,000-seat plenary hall, three dozen meeting rooms, a 2,500 sqm expo area and a rooftop terrace, with capacity for congresses up to 15,000 delegates. Two new pavilions were added in the 2021 programme, modernising the grounds, with around 3,000 parking spaces.
Exhibiting and stand-building context
Hungexpo hosts a wide range of trade and consumer fairs plus large congresses, so stand briefs vary. The recently modernised halls provide contemporary infrastructure, and the venue's technical rules govern build-up, power and rigging. Exhibitors confirm hall placement and logistics ahead of the build.
Getting there
The site is around 15 minutes from central Budapest and about 20 minutes by car from the international airport, with public-transport connections to the city. Its combination of a central-European capital location and recently renewed facilities makes it a key regional venue.
