Manchester Central is a convention and exhibition venue in the heart of Manchester, housed in the former Manchester Central railway station, a Grade II* listed building with a distinctive 64-metre arched roof. It offers around 23,000 sqm of versatile space, hosting events for between 40 and 10,000 delegates, from trade exhibitions to major conferences.
The venue
The venue's spaces include the column-free Central Hall (around 10,000 sqm, divisible), the flexible Exchange Hall, and a purpose-built 804-seat auditorium with modern AV, plus foyers and break-out rooms. Originally a Victorian railway terminus and later the G-Mex Centre, it reverted to the Manchester Central name in 2007 after renovation, combining heritage architecture with contemporary event facilities.
