MECC Maastricht is an exhibition and congress centre in the Randwyck district of Maastricht, in the southern Netherlands. It offers over 30,000 sqm of indoor exhibition space across three event halls, plus a renovated conference centre, and is best known for hosting TEFAF, the world's leading fine art and antiques fair, for more than 35 years.
The venue
The three event halls are complemented by a conference centre with two auditoria seating up to around 1,700 and 55 break-out rooms, plus a 2,500 sqm expo foyer. MECC holds the Green Key Gold sustainability label. Its long association with TEFAF has shaped a venue capable of hosting one of the most demanding, high-value fairs in the world, where the halls are transformed into an opulent, gallery-grade environment.

TEFAF sets an exceptionally high bar for stand finish, lighting and security, so builders working MECC for that fair operate to gallery and museum standards. For other trade and congress events, stand briefs are more conventional. The venue's technical rules govern build-up, and given the finish and security requirements of its flagship fair, exhibitors and galleries confirm booth specification well in advance.
Getting there
MECC sits in the Randwyck district beside Maastricht's Randwyck railway station, giving direct rail access, and Maastricht's position in the tri-border area near Belgium and Germany, with nearby regional airports, makes it accessible to an international audience, important for TEFAF's global collector base.
