Messe Stuttgart is a modern exhibition venue located directly next to Stuttgart Airport, around 12 km south of the city, on its current site since 2007. It offers around 120,000 sqm of exhibition space across seven main halls plus additional event halls, and hosts fairs including AMB (metalworking), R+T, Intergastra and CMT, welcoming around 24,000 exhibitors and over 1.3 million visitors a year.
The venue
The seven main halls each offer around 10,500 sqm, complemented by a large multi-functional event hall, the 14,600 sqm Hall 10, and the International Congress Center Stuttgart (ICS). The venue's defining feature is its position just 200 m from the airport terminals, with a distinctive multi-storey car park built over the A8 motorway, making it one of the most transport-accessible fairgrounds in Germany.
Exhibiting and stand-building context
Messe Stuttgart hosts strong industrial and machinery fairs such as AMB, where stands run real machine tools and require high floor loads, three-phase power and services, alongside consumer and trade shows. Build-up follows the venue's managed schedule and standard German technical rules. Given the machinery involved in its flagship fairs, exhibitors confirm hall placement and logistics well in advance.
Getting there
The venue's location beside Stuttgart Airport, with direct A8 motorway access and around 6,600 parking spaces, gives it exceptional connectivity for both international fly-in visitors and regional road traffic. The airport's own rail and S-Bahn links extend access to central Stuttgart and beyond.
