Messe Dusseldorfs lineup is built on triennials and quadrennials, each the global leader in its industry: K (plastics and rubber, every 3 years, 3,000 exhibitors), drupa (print and packaging, every 4 years, 1,700 exhibitors), MEDICA (annual, the largest medical-technology fair in the world), interpack (packaging, every 3 years), boot (annual, the worlds largest yacht and water-sports show), and EuroShop (retail technology, every 3 years).
Venue scale and capability
The complex covers 308,000 m across 19 halls plus 26,000 m of outdoor area. Hall 6 has a 27 m ceiling and is preferred for the boat displays at boot. Halls 8a, 8b and 14 carry the highest floor loads (5,000 kg/m) and host the heavy plastics-machinery at K. The venue sits next to the Rhine and benefits from one of Germanys densest hotel inventories.
Travel and logistics
Messe Dusseldorf is 15 minutes by U78 tram from Dusseldorf central station and 12 minutes by S-Bahn from Dusseldorf International Airport. Schenker is the appointed on-site forwarder. Heavy-machinery shows like K and drupa have specialised rigging crews available 24 hours during build-up, with crane lifts up to 80 tonnes via the Hall 1 mezzanine.

Dusseldorf is the unofficial Japanese capital of Europe - the citys 8,000-strong Japanese community has shaped business etiquette toward formality and detail. K and interpack regularly draw 40+ percent international visitor share. Hotels along the Konigsallee and in the Altstadt fill first; book by Q3 for any of the triennials. Build-up periods are generous (often six to eight days for K and drupa) but every electrical schematic must be stamped by a VDE-certified engineer before power is connected.
